PASTEL PAINTING TIP

Last year I was fortunate to take Handell's mentoring workshop.. He showed me how to cast shadows with out drastically altering the value of the subject. He used a charcoal stick and very lightly shaded the area he wanted to cast the shadow.. in this case it was on the trunk of a tree. I have use this method time and time again. ...tom
