I painted this pastel tonight after work. I was listening to Gordan Lightfoot --hence the title--this painting is completed on my favorite pastel paper called Uart. I layed down a watercolor underpainting and lightly added pastel. There is very little pastel applied to the background farm blds and hills.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful work!
ReplyDeleteRegards
It is so deep and the feel of distance is so real. And color. I can't stop looking at far white roofs :-).
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by David,Galina and Irina. I cotinue experimenting with the watercolr under painting. You can create some interesting background with out alot of effort. It also lends itself to a more loose and smplified look. The uart paper works especially well for this..BTW I use a 400 grit paper...Tom
