Iowa Beach


I finsihed this one tonight. It is on gatorboard with applied texture. The reference is a plein piece I completed yesterday. this is an area about 7 miles from my house along the Iowa river. 24x30 inches

    This is beautiful. I love the textures and treatment of the grass in front. It is large, too for a plein air.

    thanks Jo. I struggled a bit with this pastel. I haven't workd on a textured board for awhile and it doesn't accept many layers of pastel. Hoe,ever I was able to complete the piece. thanks tom
